Review: The Face Shop Raspberry Roots Collagen Eye Patch

Yeah, sorry for the lengthy name but that's the product's full name. I have recently went to The Face Shop or in short, TFS. Let's just call it TFS, easier. So, I have recently been to TFS, it was last month actually, when I accompanied my dear friend shopping for makeup. So I just look around the store and ask the Beauty Assistant (BA) about their products, just to past my time in the shop while waiting for my fren to evaluate their foundation, hehe. I asked her this and that, what is the product she recommend for my skin type, as usual...

I feel like I really need a good eye cream as my eyes, oh my eyes...dunno how to describe them, always look sleepy, always have dark circles and its getting worse now, fine lines are starting to appear!!! *sigh* And the worst thing is I'm using a lousy eye gel which I don't think works on my eyes :( but what to do...I still need to finish it until I can purchase a new eye cream, next time definitely gonna invest on a real good one... Any to recommend?

So, back to the BA, she recommends a lot of eye cream, eye serum for me...but all of them are quite pricey. I gulped when I see the price tag...really have to consider first before I buy them. Then I saw this...then I think to myself, this might be a short term solution to my problem hopefully :)

I saw an EYE PATCH! My saviour!
Two patches of thin and soft gel like film

Here's a description of what it does:

Keep your eyes contour hydrated and healthy with the raspberry root extract from Himalayas and marine collagen.
This Raspberry Roots from TFS are initially famous for their Sleeping Mask.

The package also provides direction of usage (This eye patch is for use after toner during your nightly moisturizing routine):

  1. Remove clear film from a pair of patches, placing one under each eye as shown in the diagram.

  2. Leave it on for about 30-40 minutes while the patches' water-soluble nutrients melt and are slowly absorbed into skin.

  3. After removing the patches, you can continue with the next step in your nightly routine.
  4. Seal pouch after each use to prevent patches from drying out.

  5. Recommended for use twice a week.
To me, it's a pretty huge patch as I have a small face, hehe...should be enough to cover the under eye area thoroughly, but one this i'm not sure is whether to place the patch very near to your eye in order to cover the most of the eye bag or otherwise. The diagram provided is not too clear...

After using this patch, I feel that the area around my eyes are firmer but I haven't seen other effects yet. I guess I'll have to wait overnight to see the effect tomorrow morning, hopefully hehe...

Each packets contain two patches reasonably priced at RM15.90.
